2023 Poll: Group plans mobilization of 5 million votes for Atiku

A group under the aegis of Nigeria Professionals For Atiku, (NPFA), has promised to deliver five million votes to the Presidential candidate of the  People's Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.


Dr Folus Ejele, the National Coordinator of the group made the promise on Thursday in Benin City during a chat with newsmen. 


Ejele, who is also a member of the Presidential Campaign Council said the group's membership cut across the 36 States of the country including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja,  774 local  government areas, 8,813 wards in  the federation as well as  36 countries of the world.


He also said members of the group are in different fields of human endeavour known to modern mankind.

He opined that the decision to mobilize five million votes for the party's presidential candidate was occasioned by the strong desire to get Nigeria working again as well as for the growth of the economy and sustainable prosperity for Nigerians.

"Nigerian professionals for Atiku is now in all wards, local government areas and states across the country. We are also in over 30 countries of the world. 

"We are currently mobilising votes and supports for Atiku across the country. Our members are out there doing what we call mosquito campaign by reaching out to electorates in villages, churches, mosques, schools, towns and cities by educating on the ideas and visions of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar", he said.

He noted that the of the goal of the group will be achieved through an inclusive servant leadership, transformative governance reforms, economic diplomacy and preventive diplomacy with the objective of improving the quality of lives of Nigerians. 

"Alhaji Atiku Abubakar-led  government will be founded on principles of transparency, accountability, rule of law, focused on enhancing productivity and value addition in all sectors of social, economic, security and environmental progress of the country", he added.


Dr Ejele opined that, when elected, the Atiku Abubakar-led government will tackle the problem of insecurity headlong in the country.

He further disclosed that the PDP-led federal government will embark on an aggressive measures to tackle  insecurity by involving everybody and agencies involved in security management in the country. 

"Peace and security in the country would be achieved through an integrated programme to accelerate youth employment, integrated rural development programmes and community policing that will involve all citizens. 

"You will recall that as Vice President, Atiku was in charge of the telecoms revolution, which gave rise to flourishing career among the youths.

" In his tenure as Vice President under Olusegun Obasanjo government, we witnessed a large repatriation of Nigerians back to Nigeria, driven by the hope of the recovering economy",he stated.
