Anambra police declare corps member wanted for impersonation, fraud

By Editor Feb 20, 2023 The Anambra State Police Command has declared one Mr Emeh Nnamdi Daniel wanted over alleged unlawful possession of a firearm, money laundering, defamation of character, fraud and impersonation. According to a statement on Monday, the state police spokesman, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, said Daniel is a member of the National Youths Service Corps, with state Code Number: AN/22A/3323, attached to the Anambra State Police Command. Two persons killed in Edo Protest --- Police

By Editor Feb 16, 2023 Edo State Police Command on Thursday said two persons were killed at the Wednesday's protest in Benin City against the scarcity and rejection of  new naira notes by commercial banks in the state.  Dailymonitorngr reports that the command who also said that several suspects have been arrested in connection with the protest added that the suspects would be charged to court immediately in accordance with the law.  SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the image maker of the command made the disclosure in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City.  Nwabuzor added that several banks and private properties were attacked, looted and destroyed by the armed hoodlums who hijacked the protest. Braimoh said the establishment of the farmers' market was to address post-harvest lost as well as to promote made in Edo products. She opined that the planned farmers' market is one of the strategies by the ministry  to  boost the "Made in Edo" products policy of the state government. According to her, "by design, the market is expected to stimulate off-takes in such a way that the farmer does not need to bother much about how to dispose off their farm produce because the market is functioning as an exchange and a ready market.
