2023 poll: BORDA Boss drums support for Tinubu/Shettima, Oshiomhole, APC candidates' victory

As political parties round up campaigns for the Saturday Presidential and National Assembly Elections, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Engineer Saliu Ahmed has opined that the victory of the party's presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the poll will positively affect the economic and political development of Edo State.

Ahmed, the managing director of 
Benin- Owena River Basin Department Authority (BORDA) made the remarks on Thursday in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City.

The BORDA boss who recalled the APC presidential candidate's laudable achievements as governor of Lagos between 1999 and 2007 noted that same achievements will be replicated not only in the entire country but will also trickle to Edo State with Adams Oshiomhole and elections of other APC candidates in the national assembly.

While noting that Adams Oshiomhole as the former two-time governor of the state copied some of infrastructural and economic blueprints and template from Lagos state, noted that much of those blueprints would be deplored to the entire states in the country for the betterment of Nigerians.

"Asiwaju Tinubu is the right person who can pull the country out of its present predicaments and restore its lost glory because he has previously been tested and can, therefore, be trusted to deliver

"Asiwaju Tinubu tenure as the governor of Lagos State between 1999 and 2007 practically rebuilt the former nation's capital city into an economic fortress. 

"Above all, the prospect of a Tinubu/Shettima victory in the February 25 presidential and national assembly poll will serve as icing on the cake given the tremendous amount of work every APC member in the state has put in to ensure the success of the project", he said.


Ahmed who urged the people of Edo State to queue behind the party candidates, added that the presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, if elected, will favour both the country and the state. 

Ahmed, who also holds the prestigious traditional title of the *Sodiq* of the Auchi kingdom expressed  hope that all projects of the agency  at various stages will be completed  if Ahmed Tinubu is at the helms of affairs of the country.


He, however, poured encomiums on the state leadership of the, led by the former comrade governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, for leading his men in battle, providing visionary leadership, and also working tirelessly behind the scene to sell the Tinubu/Shettima candidature not minding the series of hurdles placed on his path by undemocratic ruling PDP.

He posited that the landmark projects of the BORDA in various parts of the Edo North senatorial district are laudable enough to give victory to all the APC candidates at the elections.

Six old commissioners make Obaseki's list
