Hon David Odeli, Special Assistant to Delta State Governor on Youth and Community Development

Hon David Odeli, Special Assistant to the Delta State governor on Youth  and Community development has said that the former governor of the state, Chief James Ibori will not do anything to destroy the People's Democratic Party (PDP) he laboured to build with others in the country as well as in the state.

Odeli made the remarks during a chat with journalists in Benin City, Edo State on the sideline of the lingering crisis between the State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and Chief Ibori on the choice of the party's gubernatorial candidate for the 2023 elections in the state.

He described the two-time governor of the state  as a foremost national leader and a core party man.

"Chief James Ibori, the former two-time of our state  is a foremost national leader and a core party man. There is no way he will destroy the house he and his political foot soldiers slaved to build and made visible and unbeatable in the state.

He, however, opined that the power tussle between the two renowned politicians in the state is purely a family affairs that is being resolved with the help of party elders and other stakeholders.

Speaking on the forthcoming presidential election, the aide to the Delta State Governor, opined that the state governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who is also the PDP
Vice presidential candidate and his principal Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has the potentials to rapidly lift Nigerians  out of poverty as well as restore the country's lost glory.

He added that the duo are tested, trusted and also armed with a lot of exciting policies and programmes that can change the political and socio-economics fortune of the country from bad to good.

Odeli, therefore, urged the citizens to vote massively for the Atiku/Okowa joint ticket noting that their victory at the elections is a sure bet to rescue the country from the hands of "vultures" in power.

He also opined that the duo of Atiku and Okowa possess the requisite democratic credentials to rescue the Nigeria state and restore the much cherished good old days when Nigerians could afford to sleep in their homes at night with both eyes closed.

The special Assistant accused the   APC-led federal government of doing nothing to abate the rising spate of insecurity,  rescue the devalued local currency, hyperinflation and the dearth of infrastructures.

"It is obvious even to the blind that the APC administration has failed woefully and the citizens are left with no other option than to vote the party out of power in 2023.

"The locust years of the APC government which has not only ruined but also left the country in tatters is something that can be rolled back if Nigerians are willing to give their votes to Atiku/Okowa joint ticket", he added.
