2023 Poll: We 're solidly behind you-- Uhunmwonde community assures Iduoriyekemwen

The people of Ugieghudu community in  Uhunmwode Local Government Area of Edo State has assured, Honourable Mathew Iduoriyekemwen, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Edo South senatorial candidate of their support in the 2023 general elections.

Pa Francis Omoregbe, the Odionwere of the community gave the assurance when the party's senatorial candidate paid a courtesy visit to the community.

Ugieghudu is the maternal home of the party's candidate.

The following quarters including Oru, Obazagbon, Otien, Orere, Ediale, Uzan; others are Ebue, Esigie, Ogua and Ughe, makes up Ugieghudu Community.








Pa Omoregbe represented by Pa Johnson Oviase assured the former two-time House of Assembly lawmaker who represented Ikpoba Okha that the people are solidly behind his political aspiration.


The Odionwere recalled the good works the senatorial candidate did in the community when he served as as lawmaker in Edo State House of Assembly.

According to him, you have never turned your back on us; whenever we call, you are always there; your visit to our community today is a testament of your humility and concern for us; we are solidly behind you.

Earlier, Hon Matthew Iduoriyekemwen the senatorial candidate said the visit was part of his campaign plans to secure victory during the national legislative elections.







Iduoriyekemwen who noted that the visit was sacrosanct following calls from close family ties to come home added that he had last September visited his maternal home during which he donated a truckload of relief materials to his kinsmen.

He also added that the visit was to seek his mother's kinsmen blessings and prayers ahead of the elections.

Amongst the Edo South Senatorial Candidate's entourage were the PDP Candidate, Orhionmwon/Uhunmwode Federal Constituency, Hon. Roland Asoro, Candidate, Ikpoba-Okha Constituency, Hon. Nicholas Asonsere, former Commissioner for Art, Culture, Tourism and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Osazee Osemwengie-Ero, women and youths
