Correspondents' Chapel of NUJ passes vote of confidence on chairman

Members of the Correspendents' Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State council, on Friday passed a vote of  confidence on the chapel's head led by Nefisetu Yakubu.  

The unanimous endorsement of the chairman by members was resolved at the chapel's emergency meeting held at the secretariat in Benin City.  

During the meeting, attended by members, who are journalists in various national newspapers, magazines and broadcast stations, they agreed that the executive of the Chapel deserves to be supported because the leadership has over the years united members and raised their respective capacities.  

Speaking, Comrade Abdullahi Bello of Daily Trust moved a motion for the resolution for the implicit confidence on the chairman, saying that the chairman needs the backing of all members so to sustain the development of the chapel.

The resolution was seconded by Titus Akhigbe, a former State Secretary of the State Council, of Daily Times Newspaper. 

The meeting was attended by Correspondents from Nation, Vanguard, Sun, This Day, Daily Trust and Daily Times. 

Others who attended the meeting were New Telegraph, Business Day, Bayelsa Times, Nigeria Tribune, News Agency of Nigeria, Blueprint, West African Business, Al Jazeerah and Galaxy Television.
