Azemhe condoles families of road mishap in Edo

Dr Azemhe Azena,  a leading aspirant on the platform of the  Labour Party for the 2024 governorship election in Edo State has sympathized with the families of those who lost their lives at the Monday road accident that killed over 10 persons in Okpella community in Etsako East Local Government Area of the state.

In a  statement by his media team, the popular televangelist of the Omega and Fire  ministry also expressed concern over many of the victims that sustained various degrees of injury in the  road accident.

"It is very painful that innocent villagers who came out to make a living for themselves and their families will be met with such a gruesome death. It is a pity", he said.

He said the accident claimed over 10 persons while several others sustained vary degrees of injury.

He  posited that the accident was caused by an articulated vehicle  with a failed break that ran into the popular Ewo Market along the Okene- Auchi expressway.

The governorship candidate hopeful, added that the victims of the mishap include market women, Okada riders,  members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and innocent passersby.

He, however, called on the government and public-spirited Nigerians like him to think of a way to stop a future occurrence while praying to God to grant his people the fortitude to bear the loss.
