Edo federal lawmaker establishes charity village to immortalize late father

Hon Sunday Dekeri Anamero, member representing Etsako Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has established a charity village to support the less privileged in memory of his late father, PaJames Dekeri Anamero.

Dailymonitorngr reports that the 
charity village named Anamero Foundation is building schools, multipurpose hall and one hundred capacity hostel to support humanity.

Anamero, disclosed this to newsmen at the burial ceremony of their patriarch, Pa James Dekeri Anamero in Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State

He promised to continue to affect the lives of the people just like his father when he was alive.

The federal lawmaker described his father as a philanthropist, a giver, father to all and a friend to everyone that came across him while alive.

"He has bequeathed in us the spirit of  generosity, that spirit of giving and affecting the lives of the people positively.

"The people you see here are from far and near to pay my late father deserving last respect", he said.

He added that the the legacies of the patriarch have remained with him, hence, the setting up of a Foundation to cater for the poor and the needy in the society.

Earlier in his remark, the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, extolled the virtues of the late father of the House of Representative member.

Oshiomhole, who is also the former Governor of Edo State, urged the children to keep the good work of their late father alive, adding that the legacies he left behind reflected in the lives of his children.

According to him, when I was a Governor in Edo State, I could still remember when you invited me, using your own money to build schools for your people, buying exercise books, which for me and other people, it may not look important but for the poor and needy, it means a lot to them.
 
He opined that giving doesn't mean you have enough to throw around, but a gift of generosity to affect the lives of the under privileged.
