Christmas: Live harmoniously with one another---- Edo Deputy Speaker tells constituents

The Deputy Speaker of Edo state House of Assembly, Hon Maria Edeko has urged Christians to live harmoniously with one another and with adherents of other faith.

Edeko made the call in her Christmas message to the people of Esan North- East constituency II she is representing in the Edo State House of Assembly.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker noted that it is only  harmonious relationship with one another that can guarantee atmosphere of peace in which the state can grow to a huge and highly beneficial economy under the MEGA agenda of Governor Godwin Obaseki.

She also congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki, the people of Esan North-East Local Government Area and Edo people on the occasion of Christmas celebration.

She, however, opined that the Obaseki-led administration has re-engineered the state for socia-economic and infrastructural growth. 

She also expressed confidence that year 2024 would be a year of renaissance for the state.

Edeko, however, urged Christians to renew their hope in God as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

"As we celebrate Christmas, we reflect on the humble, symbolic and divine birth of our lord Jesus Christ thousands of years ago in Bethlehem. 

"Let us reflect on the message of hope, compassion, salvation, reconciliation, forgiveness and peace that Jesus Christ embodied and conveyed.

"The Governor has laid a solid foundation in education, agriculture, institutional reforms and in other sectors which is the foundation of a great society," she said.
