May Day: We'll support all efforts to protect your rights - Edo deputy speaker assures workers

The Deputy Speaker of Edo House of Assembly,  Maria Oligbi-Edeko has assured workers in the state, that the House would support all efforts aimed at protecting their  rights and support to ensure that they are adequately rewarded and well catered for.


Dailymonitorngr reports that the Deputy Speaker gave the assurance  while felicitating  Nigerian workers, particularly workers in Edo State on this years workers Day celebration.

Edeko, who described Nigeria and Edo workers as the mainstay of the economy, opined that, without them, there could be no economic activity of any kind. 


In a statement made available to newsmen in Benin, the Peoples Democratic Party, representing Esan North- East constituency  II, noted  that workers are the key drivers of development.

She opined that despite the challenges workers faced,  they remained the most dedicated, committed and hardworking for the development and progress of the country and the state.

"I celebrate Edo workers for staying positive and committed as well as contributing to every efforts of the state government in ensuring that we Make Edo Great Again", she said.
