Edo Guber: We' re not behind arrest of your members, APC tells PDP

By Editor Aug 20, 2024 The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the people of the State to disregard an allegation by the People's Democratic Party (PDP) that it was behind the purported arrest of its members by the Nigeria Police. DailyMonitorngr reports that the Publicity Secretary of the party in the State, Prince Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie made this call on Tuesday during a press briefing in Benin City.  Igbinigie, said the press briefing was in reaction to PDP's allegation of the arrest of its members by the Police on the directives of APC. He expressed surprise that the Police that supposed to be commended for carrying out its responsibility of securing lives and property within the State, were now being castigated by the ruling party in the State. Edo poll: CRPP endorses Ighodalo for governor By Editor Aug 13, 2024 Ahead of the September 21, 2024 governorship election in Edo State, the State leadership of the Coalition for Registered Political Parties  (CRPP) has endorsed the candidacy of Asue Ighodalo. DailyMonitorngr reports that the group endorsed Barrister Asue Ighodalo and Barrister Osarodion Ogie's candidacy on Tuesday at a press briefing in Benin City.
