Guber Poll: Edo APC passes vote of confidence on Chairman, Secretary

Ahead of the September 21 Governorship election in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has passed a vote of confidence on Jarret Tenebe and Lawrence Okah, the State Chairman and Secretary of the party.

DailyMonitorngr reports that the State Working Committee of the party passed the vote of confidence at an emergency meeting held on Sunday in Benin city.

A  press statement by Peter Uwadiae-Igbinigie the State Publicity Secretary of the party and made available to newsmen said the meeting was for party's members to brainstorm and x-rayed how well the party has fared in her effort to wrestle power from the ruling People Democratic Party (PDP).

Uwadiae-Igbinigie, said the SWC also commended Monday Okpekholo and Dennis Idahosa, the party"s governorship and deputy candidates for their dogged and unparalleled efforts in driving the campaign of the party.

He opined that the efforts of the governorship candidate and his running mate have become the envy of other parties.

"It was a show of conviviality and robust strategic engagement aimed at detonating all the negative vices occasioned by the other political parties; with a view to ensuring a resounding victory at the polls come September 21,  2024. 

"At the end of the important meeting, members were happy and felicitated our indefatigable and resourceful Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe and the ever dynamic and ebullient State secretary, Engr. Lawrence Osarobo Okah for their unshakable determination to make sure we come tops in the election.

"In the spirit of the eulogies and encomium from members; on the Chairman and Secretary, a vote of implicit confidence was then passed in our tireless State Chairman, Emperor Jarret Tenebe and State secretary Engr. Lawrence Osarobo Okah for these wonderful works done thus  far. 

"They were urged to continue to demonstrate these leadership qualities which have brought an enviable face to the party in the State",he said.

In his remarks, Jarret Tenebe commended members of the working committee for the vote of confidence.

He, however, sued for the sustenance of  unity among members of the party and noting that there are still a lot of works  to be done to ensure for the expected victory.
