Edo Assembly, NPC collaborates for successful e-birth registration of children

By Editor  December 4, 2024 The Edo State House of Assembly has promised to work in collaboration with the National Population Commission (NPC) for the successful e-birth registration of children between O--five years in the state. Ban on market unions: CRPP urges Okpebholo to set up committee to monitor compliance

By Editor December 3, 2024 The Edo State chapter of Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), has urged the state Governor, Monday Okpebholo, to set up committee to oversee the compliance on ban on market unions and associations. The State chairman of the group, Dr Samson Isibor, made the call in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City. Isibor noted that the committee would also be mandated to monitor markets to ensure that the directives of the governor to unions and associations are complied with. Dailymonitorngr reports that CRPP, however, commended the State Governor for the people-oriented policies so far initiated since assumption of office in November 12, 2024. He noted that the activities of market unions and associations leaders are responsible to the unabated increases in prices of food items in markets across the state.
