How my Govt's intervention reduces the number of man-hours on Benin-Iruekpen road to 45 minutes --- Gov Okpebholo

The Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo has explained how his administration's alignment with the 
Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reduced the number of man-hours on Benin-Iruekpen road to 45 minutes.

Okpebholo made the remarks on Wednesday during his usual routine inspection of the road project.

 The governor, who expressed delight and satisfaction at the progress made noted that it has reduced travel time for commuters plying the road.

He attributed the progress made on the road to the state's alignment with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu

According to him, the intervention has significantly reduced travel time between Benin City and Iruekpen in the Esan West Local Government Area. 

"Until now, you can spend days on this road to get to Iruekpen, but today it will only take you 45 minutes because the road is now smoother and better.

"Edo State is enjoying massive infrastructural development because the state keyed into the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

"The president's love for the people of Edo State has ensured that we receive the dividends of democracy through practical governance.

"My administration has embarked on practical governance that all will see, feel, and experience. With the completion of this project, the state will continue to enjoy the benefits of improved infrastructure, and the people will reap the rewards of good governance," he said.

Okpebholo opined that his practical governance and development are evident in the progress made on the road project. 

He, however, thanked the people of the State, trusting them with their votes, and assured them of more developmental projects across the three senatorial districts. 

He posited that he got the strength to work tirelessly from the people because they are the reason why he is occupying the position today as governor of the  State,

The Governor added that before becoming the governor of the state, he had already known why he was seeking the position which was to serve the people.

He said the interest,  focus, and priority were to develop the entire state and also to make the welfare of the People of the state


Earlier, the representative of the construction company, Engr. Bajwa Mohd said the road has significantly improved the travel experience for commuters and reduced the transit period for journeys from Benin City to Ekpoma. 

"The road is smoother now, and the transit period has reduced for a journey from Benin City to Ekpoma as travelers enjoy their trip now", he added.
