Azemhe Azena: The Man For The People

History is replete with men that have changed society for good from time immemorial.
But one common denominator about such historical happenstance at every circle of the history of development is the fact that such great men always emanate from and are unconditionally loved by the people themselves.
This is the story of Dr Azemhe Azena, a former motorcycle rider, truck-pusher and load carrier. Dr Azemhe grew through the dangerous and life-threatening ladder of poverty and deprivation that saw him homeless at some point as a young lad growing up.
This, perhaps, explains his closeness to the very wretched, the youths, the widows and all strata of men in society and their challenges up until now. His ministry to the very abandoned and ex-convicts is soul-touching. The same with confessed criminals who readily and willingly lay down their arms for rehabilitation at his beck and call.
His connection to the people explains his obvious popularity and acceptability in and around Edo State, a necessary and unfeigned quality for anyone who seeks the highest political office in Edo State.
Political leadership is about the people. Therefore, leading the people requires a people-oriented mindset and altruistic disposition such as could be found in this ebullient clergyman and philanthropist, Dr Azemhe Azena.
He is, therefore, a round peg met for a round hole that Edo state and her people cannot afford to ignore in such a time as this.
Edo state has circled the mountain of deprivation, political turmoil, and a political crisis engendered by politics of personality and identity for so long. It is time to move away from all this to position Edo State for progress and prosperity championed by a grassroots mobiliser like Dr Azemhe Azena.
He is a man of the people, chosen by the people and meant for the people. Let us all join hands to lift him to the highest pedestal of political leadership in our dear state.
He is a ready tool for peace, progress and development in our state.
We are here to push your mandate. The very true man of Edo state
