Edo Govt gives nod to deputy speaker to construct perimeter fence in two schools

By Editor May 19, 2024   The Edo State Government has given approval to the Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Maria Omozele Oligbi-Edeko to construct  perimeter fence in Ebhoiyi Demonstration Primary  and Idumu-Egelean Primary Schools in Esan North East Local Government Area. Dailymonitorngr reports that the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) gave the nod to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker, representing Esan North East constituency II  to construct perimeter fences in the two schools. The schools were  last Thursday handed over to the Deputy Speaker and  the engineer by the Education Secretary, Esan North East Local Government Area  in Uromi, the administrative headquarters of the local Government.  Earlier, SUBEB had given an approval to the Deputy Speaker to carry out the project in compliance with State Government directive. CRPP berates Gov Obaseki for allegedly taking glory of rehabilitation of Benin-Ekpoma road

By Editor May 8, 2024 The Edo State chapter of  Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) has berated Governor Godwin Obaseki-led government of the state for illegally claiming glory for the rehabilitation of Benin- Ekpoma road. Dailymonitorngr reports that the coalition berated the governor in a statement made available to newsmen in Benin City. The statement signed by Dr Samson Isibor, chairman and Andrew Igwemor, secretary respectively opined that the rehabilitation of the road was influenced by Senator Monday Okpebholo, alias "Akpakomiza". He alleged that there has never been anytime, the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki carried out any palliatives on the road to make it motorable for motorists and people of the state.
