pastor (Dr) Azemhe Azena,  June 30, 2023 By Austen Akhagbeme Dr Azemhe Azena, a leading governorship aspirant of the Labour Party (LP) in Edo state, has commiserated with the families of victims of the road accident which occurred yesterday near the Ovia River bridge on the Benin-Ore express road, where eleven people lost their lives.  In his condolence message, made available to newsmen in Benin City by his campaign media team, the Televangist criticized the authorities for negligence as the same failed portion of the road had led to several loss of lives in the recent past.  Azemhe prayed for the repose of the souls of the dead and the fortitude to bear the loss by the bereaved families. He, however,  called on governments to give urgent attention to the repair of bad roads within and outside Edo state. At press time, eight other victims are said to be receiving treatment for various degrees of injuries at the hospital.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori By Editor June 30, 2023 The Delta State House of Assembly has approved N40 billion Credit loan facility to the State Government to defray substantial part of outstanding retirement benefits to local government pensioners. DailyMonitorngr  reports that the approval of the loan facility from Zenith Bank Plc by the house was sequel to a letter from the State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and addressed to the Speaker of the House, Emomotimi Guwor. The Governor's letter was read during plenary by the speaker barely two weeks after the 8th State House of Assembly was inaugurated and three days to make a month the Governor was sworn-in. The Governor took the oath of office on May 29, 2023 while the house was inaugurated on June 13, 2023. The arrested suspected traffickers (R) and the five minors (L) By Editor June 25, 2023 Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have allegedly arrested two suspected child traffickers in Auchi, the administrative headquarters of Etsako West Local Government Area.  The two female suspects identified as Vera Okhakhu and Blessing Agbokha were allegedly arrested by operatives of the  Auchi Police Divisional Headquarters.  Dailymonitorngr gathered that the suspects claimed to hail from  Fugar, Etsako Central Local Government Area of the State.  DailyMonitorngr disclosed that the arrest of the suspects were  yet to be confirmed by the authorities of the State Police Command as the image maker of the command Mr Chidi Nwabuzor was yet to respond to calls  put to his mobile phone.
